okay im lowkey like 5 seconds into the video but I MUST back up the first point!!! i took online spanish 1 and did a TON of reading, so I'm horrible at listening, but I mostly listened to french when I started learning and listening is SOOOO much easier, even though I don't actually know much french.

also, somewhat unrelated but as someone learning a less popular language (cymraeg) - please don’t make fun of any language! just because it “sounds weird” or “looks weird” to you doesn’t mean it is, you’re just not familiar with it. many, many, MANY media outlets in the uk feel weirdly comfortable making fun of cymraeg, despite it being a historically oppressed language by the english. you don’t have to understand a word of a language to respect it!
