@jerendelle: I’m convinced there is NO SUITCASE that can handle the travel I put these bags through! What should I do??? #travelproblems #frequenttraveler #luggageproblems #travel #disneyadult
Buy a bag from Costco! Then if something happens within a year you can at least bring it back!

My brother is a baggage handler for delta, he has said all bags should (1) easily roll across a room aka have the better wheels (2) be hard sided & (3) have air tags in them (for tracking). He also says they should not (1) have fragile stickers, (2) have lots of clips or zippers all over them (they tend to break/catch things a lot) & (3) be heavy to the point it rips handle seams or zipper seams. Also some tips from someone who has traveled a lot (including all 50 states & in all forms aka train, plane, car, boat), start packing your luggage with vacuum bags with a portable pump (electric or not) & bring extras for things you plan to buy. Also purchasing packing cubes that have the compression zipper may help with the vacuum bags to keep things sorted in areas of your bag better. We personally use American Tourist and Samsonite that have the zippers that allow you to compress items more if needed. Also another option is getting a hiking backpack (for backpacking) with a cover or with less outside clips like a Hyperlite as they generally are more durable & meant to withstand tougher conditions.

Soft side Samsonite. As a flight attendant I carried very nice luggage, but the tried and true Samsonite stands the test of time! But don’t pay full price. Find them at TJMaxx!

I’ve had my BÉIS bags for years. I also cover them with a luggage cover so even after 3 years they look practically new.

Buy the flight attendant version of luggage works or travel pro for carry on. If you want to splurge go for Briggs and Riley

From a flight attendant, invest in a travel or luggageworks! Make sure your bag has rollerblade wheels also. People also swear by Briggs and Riley

Don’t fall for the trendy brands, just get American Tourister or Tumi.

My luggage broke on my last flight and the wonderful lady working the desk recommended the following brands: Away, Tumi, Briggs and Riley. She said they’re higher cost but last a long time. She also said not to get the hard cases! They crack all the time especially if you’re somewhere cold. 🙋🏽♀️

I’m Canadian so idk if they sell the brand in states or not, but I use the outbound camping gear suitcases and they come in all different sizes and have four wheels, they’re hard shell and I think they also have some soft shell ones but they’re very sturdy and have last me many many trips to Orlando, back and forth on the train, and I also always hit that 70lb wait limit and there is more then enough room for everything!!
