It was in the works at one point decades ago but they ran out of funding and basically gave up. Way back they were digging tunnels around under owls head park

If Manhattan 2 Ave and 125 street get new subway line and station 🚉 why not Staten Island NYC connected SIR LINE to Brooklyn and subway and there is other plans MTA to for Brooklyn new Utica Ave subway line to kingplaza and Queen future IND F,E,new train station 🚉 and IRT line and M line to Rockways and light rail 🚈 Queen and Brooklyn and don't worry inside Staten Island will get more new train station and will be connected to Brooklyn in the future for money's funs because that will bring more businesses and yes it will happen one day they study 📖 it and make plans for tunnel and there is a lots going on and from New Jersey to New York they want to build a tunnel Rail Road carry supply's so it is a hold lots going on systems NYCTA, NJ & NYC and New Jersey Transit systems .
