@grownbutglowing: Twenty years of marriage taught me something. You can have several marriages in one lifetime, all with the same person. There’s the marriage you start with. Then there’s the one you build while you’re raising kids and half your conversations are about who’s picking somebody up. Then the kids leave, the house gets quiet, and you realize it’s been a long time since you asked each other, “What do you want out of life now?” That word now matters. The answer might be different from what it was ten years ago. Yours might be, too. That’s the work I’m talking about.
