@gringo.en.santa.c: Part 2/2: SCZ allow me to serenade you 😂 If you're a gringo traveling here, Hipermaxi is likely going to be one of your stops to stock up on groceries and other sundries for your AirBnB or hotel room. It will be closer to what you're used to than the mercado. It's a good place to get refrigerated items if you plan on cooking during your trip. I would compare it to a Jewel Osco or Kroger or a mid size grocery store in the US. Make sure when you grab produce or bread that you get it weighed and stickered before you get to check out or you'll end up like me (the first couple times) having to run and do it and make people wait behind you in line 😂. Also, they accept US credit cards. @HIPERMAXI @Alimentos Sofia @Chocolates Breick #bolivia #bolivia🇧🇴tiktok #bolivia🇧🇴 #santacruzdelasierra🇳🇬 #santacruzbolivia
😋 I miss my BOLIVIAN food…I miss the explosion of flavors

Just arrived from the U.S. to visit family, and the first thing I did was buy coffee at Hipermaxi. Then I headed to Roho to get a coffee machine. Found one for $25, Not bad at all!

Hipermaxi now has a "sister store" that has all home products like a French press. That's why you won't find one ome there

In SAP ( SOFÍA AL PASO) puedes comprar pollo a granel , es refrigerado y sale más económico que comprar en bandeja pre empacada, tiene otras opciones también .

Go to BFC to get meat, they have meat boutiques with everything vacuum sealed and some butcher shops where you’ll buy fresh and cleaner than the market. And for chicken and pork i recommend going straight to a Sofia supermarket its fresher.

I see you picked up some coffee, great choice. you could also try going to a specialty coffee shop, they sell fresh coffee beans and will also grind it for you according to what you have available to brew coffee.

That machine has to be new!!! I've been going to that Hipermaxi for years, and wasn't there last time 👀👀 I agree with people going to Sofia AlPaso, and recently went to Pil market in Av Beni 5to anillo, to buy the chiquichoc milk for my son and was cheaper than the supermarket. Worth going and comparing prices :)

I believe is only the size and some of them have USA products , like for instance , if I remember correctly, at Villa Primero de Mayo and Plan 3000, there are not USA products. At least at plan 3000, but the rest of them do have them , also the one at 4to anillo and Av Banzer I believe is bigger

I recommend you try the “Para Ti” chocolate brand in Santa Cruz. It’s amazing. Dark chocolate is my fav. They have a lot of flavours that you will enjoy! “Manjar de oro” is another great brand of chocolate.

Not all the Hipermaxi have the same, but they are all similar. The coffee press from Casa Idea is quality. There are a few Casa Idea locations, in in Ventura another out on the North side of the city.
Once your gringo stomach gets used to life around here, the chicken in the market is fine. I get sticking to Hipermaxi for now, but it is great to get out into the markets. The key to buying meat or chicken in the market is to go first thing in the morning, while everything is fresh.

in the mercado mutualista you could find the french press. I think a relative bougth a french press in the Fidalga, its another supermarket like the Hipermaxi.
