Crispy Garlic Butter Philly Cheesesteak Tacos 🌮🧀 These Crispy Garlic Butter Philly Cheesesteak Tacos might be my favorite taco ever! 🤤🌮 INGREDIENTS 🥩 Steak: 1½ lbs ribeye or sirloin, sliced thin 1 tbsp avocado oil 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp smoked paprika Salt & cracked black pepper 2 tbsp butter 3 garlic cloves, minced 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce 🫑 Veggies: 1 green bell pepper, sliced 1 red bell pepper, sliced 1 large yellow onion, sliced 1 tbsp butter 🌮 Tacos: 8 small flour tortillas 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar 8 slices provolone cheese 🧄 Roasted Garlic Cheese Sauce: 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp flour 1 cup whole milk 1 cup white American cheese 2 roasted garlic cloves, mashed Pinch of black pepper 🌿 Finish: Chopped parsley Sliced jalapeños (optional) Extra black pepper INSTRUCTIONS 1. Cook the Vegetables Melt butter in a skillet and slowly cook the onions and peppers until deeply caramelized, about 12–15 minutes. 2. Season the Steak Season the steak with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. 3. Sear the Steak Heat a cast-iron skillet until very hot and quickly sear the steak for 1–2 minutes. 4. Add Garlic Butter Add butter, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce, tossing until the steak is glossy. 5. Make the Cheese Sauce Make the cheese sauce by whisking butter and flour together, then gradually adding milk. Stir in the white American cheese and roasted garlic until smooth. 6. Prepare the Tortillas Sprinkle cheddar directly into a hot nonstick skillet. 7. Make Crispy Cheese Crust Immediately place a tortilla over the cheese and cook until the cheddar forms a crispy golden crust. 8. Add the Filling Flip the tortilla, place a slice of provolone on one side, then top with steak and caramelized onions and peppers. 9.
