They don't follow road rules. I watched one yesterday blowing past red.lights and stop signs, no signals and no reflection. ziggity zag all over the damn place!

I almost got taken out on marine on a bike. Old man didn’t use his turn signal nor did he check his mirror. Turn signals are mandatory people. Use them every time.

I wish they would stop trying to make Chicago a bike city. It’s not. There will always be more cars. Spend the money on safe public transportation. Or maybe courtesy shuttles. It is not enuf room for scooters and bikes. Stop signing the contracts. Someone is making $$$

Serious thought. Maybe we should just let them be part of traffic in the roadway (on normal streets, not highways.) They are motor vehicles after all. That way drivers wouldn’t have to divide their attention 4 ways (pedestrians, cars, bikes, e-bikes/e-scooters.) Regular bikes are already allowed in traffic at times, and it’s not difficult to deal with.

Was cited for failing to reduce speed. This comes just 24 hours after another man was killed riding an e-scooter in Bridgeport. That crash involved a Chicago police patrol vehicle.

the e-bike people have no regard for the rules of the road. it's enough that we have to watch for oncoming traffic walkers, et cetera, and now e- bikes driving recklessly
