@newyorksportsnet: The Carolina Hurricanes beat the New York Islanders five to three at UBS Arena on Thursday night in a wild back and forth battle. Carolina jumped ahead two to nothing inside the first four minutes before Mitchell Chaffee, Brayden Schenn and Victor Eklund scored in a huge second period to pull New York even at three to three. Schenn finished with one goal and one assist and Semyon Varlamov made thirty four saves, but William Carrier scored the winner with five minutes and eight seconds left and Jalen Chatfield sealed it into the empty net. The Islanders fall to seven wins, six losses and two overtime losses and will look to bounce back after a second straight loss. #Islanders #NewYorkIslanders #Hurricanes #NHL #UBSArena
