I gradually tapered off Prozac over 6 months (was on it for 30 years). No obvious withdrawal symptoms. All seemed ok for 4-5 months. Now I've become weepy more days than not BUT can pull it together when interacting either others, even joke around, even genuinely have fun and laugh on some days. I believe this is the return of my earlier dysthymia, not protracted withdrawal. Agree?

I’ve had this happen to me from Vraylar. Clinician had me stop cold turkey. I should have never been placed on it as a solo treatment. It’s been 6 weeks of severe insomnia, akathisia, suicidal thoughts, debilitating depression and the worst anxiety I’ve ever experienced. I wasn’t like that before Vraylar. That practitioner dismissed me as a patient.

Going to a psychiatrist in protracted w/d is almost a guaranteed dangerous mistake.
