Missouri here, still have a lot to do but it was so much better than I thought it would be. We flipped a us congress seat, 16 state congressional seats, and 2 state senate seats! Plus upheld reproductive rights and protected our constitutional amendment ballot initiative process!

Our older cousins came to visit for FIFA and reminded us who we are and why it was worth fighting for! I hope they come back for phase two are the Summer Olympics before the presidential election! Phase two is how to NEVER go back to that level of hate, lies, conspiracies, corruption, authoritarianism……

It’s a great feeling that not all the races have been called but I feel confident the system is figuring it out calmly without Trump intimidating or trying to control the count. Very manageable

Sounds like the lame-duck session we had under Republican gerrymandered control in Wisconsin in 2018 when we elected a democratic governor and Attorney General. I ran for the first Assembly district in WI for a second time in 2026 and I can say with certainty, we are building (have been building) something different…much more connected and resilient than ever before…by A LOT….the structure is not doing anywhere and we are just getting started in Northeast WI.

No really! I was feeling reasonably optimistic the week before. I’m still letting my brain process the reality of the shellacking! Like I was fairly sure we’d take the house and a decent chance to take the senate. But who even thought Texas would flip so hard? So overwhelming in the best way possible! 💙

What about the 1974 Midterms? I feel like if our Dem leadership doesn’t hold this admin to account, the Dem majority will not hold and we will be setting ourselves up for a repeat fascist attempt.

My predictions were the same! I'm still reeling so it's been hard to refocus on REAL work when I thought we'd be slogging through election fraud litigation and a tiny majority in the House. We have work to do💪🏽💪🏽that can really change our lives!!
