Send me an email, email in bio 📩 A 3D chain that runs through the whole site ⛓️ 1. One link is a TorusGeometry (radius 0.5, tube 0.12) stretched with scale y 1.6. 2. Copy it 80 times with one InstancedMesh. 80 links, one draw call. 3. Draw the path with CatmullRomCurve3 through points across every section. 4. Link i sits at t = (i / 80 + offset) % 1. Place it with getPointAt(t), point it along getTangentAt(t). 5. Turn every second link 90 degrees around the tangent. Now they lock into each other. 6. Scroll moves the offset, so the chain slides through the page like someone pulls it. 7. Material: metalness 1, roughness 0.2 and an environment map. Without the env map chrome looks black. 8. Change the light per section: white, red, then cyan rgb(80,220,255). The chrome picks up the new colour for free.
