@bigdawg_rn: How to PASS the NCLEX using the FART method! 💨 I failed my NCLEX on my first attempt in 150 questions, then passed my second attempt in just 85 questions. Here’s one NCLEX test taking strategy I recommend to nursing students preparing for exam day. Remember FART whenever you’re answering NCLEX practice questions! F = First, read the last line. Before analyzing the entire question, read what the NCLEX is actually asking you. Are you looking for the priority nursing intervention, the incorrect action, or the patient who needs immediate attention? A = Avoid overreading. Don’t spend forever rereading the same question and overthinking every answer choice. Read carefully, identify the important information, and focus on what the question is asking. R = Rule out whatever you can. Use process of elimination! If you’re given four answer choices, eliminate the ones you know are incorrect. You can even use your provided erasable note board to keep track of eliminated options. T = Trust your gut and take breaks. Trust your nursing knowledge and clinical reasoning instead of constantly second guessing yourself without a good reason. And remember, you CAN request breaks during the NCLEX. Just keep in mind that your exam timer continues running! The NCLEX isn’t just about memorizing nursing content. It’s also about knowing how to apply that knowledge and approach difficult NCLEX questions strategically. These strategies helped me when I passed the Next Generation NCLEX in 85 questions, but remember that passing in 85 isn’t the goal. Passing the NCLEX is the goal!
