China’s economy is struggling because their housing market crashed and that caused their consumer to be cautious and very disinflationary by not spending money, that economic situation leaked into tech earnings thus the valuation actually rose as the market fell. It was never a bubble it was an economic downturn.

i mean if i want to use ai and the chineese 1 is better, faster, smarter and cheaper to use why wouldnt i use the chineese model over the weaker US model

China has a much more different view on AI and the citizens rightfully trust the government won’t let it control and ruin society. There’s safeguards and systems in place to reduce negative effects. Where in the us it’s just whatever gives the company the biggest profit.

What does AI can do do for us as a civilization like why are we putting so much money into it? I think American needs is more factor factories and farms. We need to keep the food up. We need to keep people having jobs. Good job jobs. We need to increase average money decrease more affordable housing like big thing is like we need to get a lot of energy a lot of resources and use that to the maximum potential and export as much as we have leftover so we can make money OK we cannot be a powerful nation without money to industrialized. Let’s get out there in the back like it’s 1905

Wouldn’t China experience the same issue we are having with super intelligence being to powerful to control, especially for them China doesn’t have the same advanced tech capabilities as the USA, China mostly relies on older machines to create AI, they also use a cost effective approach to AI where they can optimize for up to 95% of the capabilities produced by AI in the USA, trade off bring their performance is bounded by our own advancements. If we stop they also have a high probability to stop as well because all they are doing is using open source software to make their own AI no more new open source no more new AI for them. Either way they would face the same regulatory problems we face and possibly under worsened circumstances.
