Ukraine’s 14th Army Corps released the footage, describing the rider as a local in Russia’s Belgorod region, along the Ukrainian border. He looks into the camera and gestures up the road toward a UAZ van the military says was carrying Russian soldiers. Ukraine’s army has fought across this border before. Zelensky publicly confirmed troops were operating in Belgorod in April 2025, saying their goal was to protect Ukrainian border towns from Russian attacks.
