@bolongobay: Spontaneous double date at the vet with Boo! for his scheduled follow-up on his eyes and George, our popular restaurant cat, who turned into a pufferfish today. As many expected, Boo!’s vision is definitely going to be permanently obscured and one eye is worse than the other, but he’s on the perfect path to health and recovery, and just like many of your comments about visually-impaired cats, the vet assured us that he’s gonna be just fine and able to have a happy loving life despite limited sight. He can see lights and shadows but that’s about it. We’re going to keep up with his medication and we look forward to finding him the perfect forever home when the time is right. I was sad for radar at first but he knows nothing other than blindness and is happy as long as he gets his cuddles and wet food.

I’ve been following Boo’s improvement. My Leo had eye infections as a baby and ended up with scar tissue. He can see lights and shadows out of his right eye and he has no trouble navigating, but he has trouble seeing below him, like if there is a treat on the floor. Anyway, sending love to Boo.

Her eyes are looking do much better. Even if she has to get them removed, the area has healed around them so well. She will have a lovely life. All the blind cats of tik tok really show that they have a great quality of life still.

I had a mostly blind kitty for years. I made sure to be mindful of keeping things consistent in her environment because even if I left the dishwasher door down, she'd run into it. When things were where they were supposed to he, she navigated wonderfully. She was so loving and playful. 🫶🫶🫶
