@mygovexpert: Is the 3.6 percent Social Security COLA increase enough to keep up with inflation? A 3.6 percent cost-of-living adjustment often fails to cover rising costs for essentials like groceries and transportation, especially when Medicare premium hikes are deducted from your check. You should review your current budget to see if you qualify for extra help through the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program or other state-based assistance. Not to mention, all the money in your 401K is taxed when you withdraw it. 20% before you even get a check.

And what’s a shame is they do the increase but health insurance usually increases the same or even more so nine times out of 10 you usually receive less I think it should be double whatever everybody receives

My wife and I get 72,000 a year between us have to understand that what you get from Social Security is based on how many years you worked and how much money you made if you never really had any skills and had just regular jobs you’re just not gonna get a lot of Social Security so you have to make sure that you have a retirement fund.

It’s pretty pitiful raise when they turn around and charge the $209 Medicare premium for medical care so I figured out I was gonna get something like $84 in my premium is gonna be 209 so in otherwise I’m in the deficit

And they act like they're doing you a grand gesture 3.6 increase is shit in this economy You can't even break even let alone get ahead That raise will be eaten up by raises in Medicare etc It should be at least a 10 percent raise and even that is still a slap in the face 😞😞
