if that's 6 months growth it'll take like 3 years to get all the way down. wait until its passed your collar bones, do a big chop. a year later, you'll be grown back out. that's what I did.

I say 6 years bc that’s how long it took me to grow out my hair. I used to dye it black and now it’s all virgin hair :) I trim it every 6 months

You can ask a hairstylist to do a Malibu cpr treatment, maybe even 2 rounds of it. It will help remove the black pigment a good bit without altering your natural like most other color removers would do!

I’m so serious when I say a bunch of vitamin C packets , a lot of dawn dish soap , head and shoulders alll mix together , damped hair , let it sit for an hour each session .

if youre going for the same length, then yes it will be about 5 to 7 years. if you aren't worried about length, you'll be at shoulder length in about a year and a half i think. def less than 2.
