Yes we can absolutely have endless technical failures. The "pattern" is not an apocalypse. The pattern is literally late stage capitalism, where investment funds gut banks for profit. BlackRock bought the bank I use - fired 80% of tech supports to increase profits. I now always have cash, because the stupid thing keeps malfunctioning every week
