I have theory that Taissa is the most important yellowjacket. From season 1, she has always been the one leading the Yellowjackets to their next destination. We start off with her being the one to suggest taking out Allies leg and then doing it, which then sets off a chain of events that leads to the party argument. Then after the crash, she’s the one who breaks open the plane door to save everyone else. Then she’s the one who finds the Lake, which leads to the cabin. She’s the one who sleeps in the attic, she leads the expedition, then she’s kills the wolves attacking Van and the others. Along with this I’m on the theory she (other tai)was Javi’s “friend” helping him. During the seance, they get 8. Which they interpret in many different ways, infinity, 8 people will survive, but 8 is also Taissa’s Jersey number. Then when the cabin burns down, Taissa is paralleled once again to be breaking it down like the plane, then she builds the huts, finds the phone for Natalie. in the adult timeline it’s her hiring an investigative journalist that brings the Yellowjackets together. Taissa has always been the “Antler Queen” which is why she will be the last one. And is the most important YJ.

This would really make Van’s death in season 3 become more meaningful. It felt like Melissa didn’t really want to kill any of them in season 3, but when she was finally given the opportunity, she snapped. It would really be interesting to see if that ties back to the teen timeline if Tai becomes the leader and forces Mel to kill Gen or Hannah. That would almost rectify Van’s death tbh

I feel like the reason Tai says I got you this time is that the post rescue hunt may actually target Melissa. That’d make it make sense for her to say how she wasn’t one of them anymore despite her still being a part of the group at school and everywhere else post rescue. But then Akilah dies in the hunt. That’s when Melissa fakes her suicide. It’d also explain her paranoia of the girls tracking her down and holding onto the Tape as leverage

I think van was tai’s moral compass in ways, so now that she’s gone, there’s no one to “wake her up” anymore, leading to a possible Melissa/tai confrontation

I’m excited to see if there was something in the teen timeline that happened between tai/van and Melissa that ultimately lead to her killing van years later. Something she’s held in that she didn’t even remember or know how bad she wanted to do it until she got the opportunity
