@techniahqrobot: This robot moves so fast that your eyes can barely follow it. Watch this FANUC delta robot performing rapid pick-and-place movements with impressive speed and precision. The robot uses a parallel-link mechanism, with several lightweight arms connected to a central moving platform. Unlike a traditional six-axis industrial robot, this design allows the end effector to accelerate quickly while keeping most of the motors and heavier components mounted above the workspace. In this video, the robot repeatedly moves between containers, making quick changes in direction with very little visible hesitation. This type of robot is commonly used in industries where thousands of small items need to be handled every hour. Some typical applications include: • Food packaging and sorting • Pharmaceutical production • Electronic component handling • High-speed assembly • Product inspection and sorting What caught my attention is how quickly the robot changes direction while keeping its tool within such a small working area. Every fraction of a second counts on production lines running continuously. Of course, speed alone doesn't tell us the full story. Payload, positioning accuracy, cycle time and reliability also determine how well a robot performs in production. Industrial robotics has been using parallel mechanisms for decades, and watching one operate at this speed is still impressive. Would you choose a delta robot or a traditional six-axis arm for high-speed sorting? #Robotics #Automation #IndustrialRobotics #FANUC #Manufacturing
