@cookwithhali: Soft Bread Rolls! Ingredients * 1 tsp yeast * 1 tbsp sugar * 82g milk (⅓ cup) * 148g lukewarm water (⅝ cup) * 1 egg * 400g flour (about 3¼ cups) * 1 tsp salt * 50g softened butter (3½ tbsp) Instructions 1. In a bowl, mix milk, yeast, water, and sugar. Add the egg and flour, then mix until combined. Add salt and softened butter, then coil fold the dough. Cover and let rest for 20 minutes. Coil fold again, then cover and let rise for 2 hours or until doubled in size. 2. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions. Flatten each piece and roll it tightly. Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. 3. Cover and let rest for 25 minutes, then brush with milk and score the tops with a sharp knife. 4. Bake at 400°F (204°C) for 5 minutes, then reduce the heat to 380°F (193°C) and bake for another 15 minutes. 5. As soon as they come out of the oven, brush them with melted butter and cover with a clean kitchen towel until they cool down. (That’s the secret to keeping them soft!) #bread #breadtok #baking #homemadebread #bakingtok

I pulled my cards this morning just asking what the energy of today was bringing, and I thought this was too good not to share. Nine of Cups upright — The wish fulfillment card! Gratitude, abundance, happiness, and enjoying everything we already have. How often are we so focused on what’s next that we forget we’re already living parts of the life we once wished for? Ace of Swords upright — Clarity! That aha moment when something finally clicks. A new perspective, a breakthrough, or simply realizing there’s another way of looking at something. Not everything needs to be forced. Sometimes we just need to get quiet enough to hear ourselves think. Ten of Cups reversed — This one really got me. Are we so attached to what we think happiness and success are supposed to look like that we’re missing what’s right in front of us? Who decided what a fulfilling life was supposed to look like anyway? Eight of Swords reversed (bottom of the deck) — And here’s the kicker! FREEDOM! Breaking out of the mental prisons we’ve created. The beliefs that tell us we’re stuck, behind, running out of time, or that there’s only one way to get where we want to go. And what I loved most about this spread was the combination. We start with the wish fulfillment card, get handed the sword of clarity, are asked to question our definition of happiness, and underneath it all is FREEDOM. What if today isn’t about doing more, fixing more, or figuring everything out? What if today is about recognizing how much we already have while making room for everything that’s still coming? Today’s reminder: You can be grateful for everything you have AND excited for everything you still want. One doesn’t cancel out the other. Take what resonates, leave what doesn’t. ✨ Happy Friday! 💫 #tarotreading #edmaholic
