Damien Ducoint :
Muslims believe that God revealed a holy book called the Injil (Gospel) to Jesus, parts of which may still be found in God’s teachings to Jesus as recorded in the New Testament. But this does not mean that Muslims believe in the Bible as we know it today, because it does not consist of the original scriptures that were revealed by God. They have undergone alterations, additions, and omissions. This was acknowledged by the committee responsible for revising the Holy Bible. This committee consisted of thirty-two members, all of whom were scholars. They ensured the smooth conduct of the revision and the deliberations of the Advisory Council, which was composed of fifty representatives from various cooperating religious denominations. The committee stated on page IV of the preface to the Holy Bible (Revised Standard Version, in English): “In a few places, it is evident that the text has undergone changes during its transmission, but none of the versions provides a satisfactory restoration. We can only rely on the best judgment of competent scholars regarding the most probable reconstruction of the original texts.” The committee also stated on page VII of the preface: “Notes have been added to indicate significant variations, additions, or omissions in the ancient sources (Matthew 9:34; Mark 3:16; 7:4; Luke 24:32, 51, etc.).”

Bart D. Ehrman, in his book "The Construction of Jesus: The Origins of Christian Religion," tells us on page 154, entitled "Does the New Testament contain forgeries?": "Of the 27 books in the New Testament, only eight were almost certainly written by those whose names appear on them: the seven undisputed epistles of Paul (to the Romans, Corinthians 1 and 2, Galatians, Philippians, Thessalonians 1, and Philemon) and the Apocalypse of John (although we know too well who this John was)." And on page 187: "This idea that the New Testament contains books written 'under false names' is common among scholars, and it is accepted in all the major institutions of higher learning in the West, it dominates all the major textbooks on the New Testament, in seminaries and theological institutes, and it is what pastors learn when they prepare for ministry."

Damien Ducoint :
American Christian priest, biblical scholar, theologian and exegete Raymond E. Brown [1928-1998 G] said: "Approximately three thousand manuscripts of the Greek New Testament, copied between the 2nd and 17th centuries, have been preserved (in whole or in part), to which must be added more than two thousand handwritten lectionaries containing sections (pericopes) of the New Testament arranged for liturgical reading since the 7th century. These witnesses to the NT text do not agree with each other on many points, but few of these differences are significant. No autograph or original manuscript of a New Testament book has been preserved; the differences occurred during the copying of the original. *Not all are the result of copyists' errors; some are the result of deliberate changes.* Copyists sometimes felt obliged to *improve* the Greek of the received text, *modernize* spelling, *add* explanatory phrases, *harmonize* the Gospels, and even *omit* a point which seemed doubtful. One might think that the oldest preserved copies (in whole or in part) of the Greek NT are the best guide back to the originals; but this is not necessarily so." What do we know about the New Testament? page 86, Bayard French editions, 2011.

Damien Ducoint :
Bart D. Ehrman, professor of religious history in the United States and author of numerous works on Christian literature, wrote a book in 2005 entitled Misquoting Jesus: The Story Behind Who Changed the Bible and Why, in which he explains the conclusions drawn from textual criticism of the Bible concerning the myth of the "original manuscripts." Ehrman states on page 10: "Not only do we not have the originals, but we don't have the first copies of the originals, we don't even have copies of copies of the originals, or even copies of copies of copies of the originals. What we have are copies made later, and even much later. In most cases, these are copies written many centuries later, and all these copies differ from each other in thousands of places. As we will see later in this book, these copies differ from each other in so many places that we do not even know how many differences there are. It is perhaps easier to say: there are more differences between our manuscripts than there are words in the New Testament.

Damien Ducoint :
Who holds the truth? The true word of God? Every church claims to be the sole custodian of the true word of God (the Bible) The Ethiopian Bible, consisting of 81 books The Greek Orthodox Bible, consisting of 75 books The Catholic Bible, consisting of 73 books The Protestant Bible, consisting of 66 books The Syriac Bible, consisting of 61 books The Samaritan Bible, consisting of 5 books The same Bible, called the Word of God, which is supposed to be unique, unchanging, and eternal [Revelation 22:18–19 and Matthew 5:17–19], according to that same Bible, exhibits glaring discrepancies in content from one liturgy to another. Each church rejects books from other Bibles because it considers them apocryphal, false, or falsified, while others regard them as true and the Word of God.
