He was my son's teacher. He inspired him so much that now my son is going to Texas Women's University to become a Mariachi Teacher. Mr. Niño and my son Marcelino had talk about doing he's intern in Northside high school. He didn't have a chance to do it but he left him so much advice and he's music. RIP Mr. Niño you will be dearly miss from a lot of he's students. Many blessings for the family 🙏

He always encouraged me to play louder. I was a flute player, which I know is an unusual instrument in a mariachi group, but he taught me to embrace it and be proud of it. The last time I spoke with Mr. Niño, he told me I was the last flute player he ever had and that I was a legend. I will cherish those words forever. ❤️🎶
