I was on gabapentin for like 4-5 years, started at 300mg, bumped to 600mg and then 1800mg daily. I was also on topiramate for 6.5 years 100mg daily. Gabapentin made me gain 40lbs pretty quickly so I switched meds. I was telling my neurologist about how I feel like my brain just shits itself not even a brain fart 😂 almost 2 months ago we switched to qulipta and I’ve been off topiramate for a week. I weened myself off over 45 days. I hope all the brain fog goes away.

Topamax is the only thing keeping my seizures at bay. I’m on the max dose. I always joke that I’m going to become a dementia patient because of it. Now I have proof. 😂😂

I used to take gabapentin after my surgery and now Im currently taking topiramate lol I basically remember nothing, cant spell,and dont know certain words anymore. Im basically a walking airhead but at least no more migraines

they prescribe gabapentin like they're tic-tacs. they basically replaced real pain meds with that nonsense. I took it for 2 years for nerve pain. it didn't work for the pain at all. it just made me high as a kite..like walking in clouds. they would've kept prescribing it too but I weaned myself off that garbage because it was scary being addicted to it. has the worst withdrawals so it took months to wean off. fuck gabapentin!!
