🚨 TOKYO GHOUL COULD FINALLY GET THE REBOOT FANS HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR… BUT THERE’S A CATCH! 👀🔥 Rumors about a potential Tokyo Ghoul remake have taken over the anime community after claims began circulating that Studio MAPPA is reportedly interested in acquiring the rights to the franchise and developing a completely new anime adaptation. According to the viral claims, the proposed reboot would start the story from scratch, following Sui Ishida’s original manga much more closely and removing the non-canon elements and major deviations introduced in the previous anime adaptation. 🩸 WHY DOES TOKYO GHOUL NEED A REBOOT? Originally animated by Studio Pierrot, Tokyo Ghoul premiered in 2014 and quickly became one of the most recognizable dark fantasy anime of its generation. The first season introduced fans to the tragic story of Ken Kaneki, a college student whose life changes completely after an encounter with a ghoul leaves him transformed into a half-ghoul. However, despite its popularity, the anime adaptation received considerable criticism for how it handled the original manga. Tokyo Ghoul √A took a different direction from the manga, while Tokyo Ghoul:re rushed through numerous important events, character developments and storylines. As a result, several important moments from Sui Ishida’s manga never received the proper treatment they deserved in the anime. 🔥 WHAT WOULD A COMPLETE REBOOT MEAN? A faithful adaptation could give fans the opportunity to experience the entire story as originally intended, including: • A more accurate adaptation of the original manga. • Properly developed character arcs and relationships. • Important storylines that were skipped or rushed in the original anime. • More faithful representation of Kaneki’s transformation and psychological journey. • The opportunity to bring some of the manga’s most iconic and emotional moments to life. And considering MAPPA’s experience with dark and visually demanding series such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man, the idea of the studio handling Tokyo Ghoul has naturally generated enormous excitement. Imagine seeing Kaneki’s most iconic moments recreated with modern animation and production quality. 🔥 However, there is something VERY important that fans should know. ⚠️ IS THE MAPPA REBOOT ACTUALLY CONFIRMED? NO. Despite the viral reports, there is currently no official confirmation that MAPPA is acquiring the rights to Tokyo Ghoul or working on a reboot. The latest claims originated from a satirical social media account, meaning the reported negotiations and reboot plans should NOT be treated as legitimate industry news. Neither MAPPA nor the relevant rights holders have officially announced a new Tokyo Ghoul anime. Nevertheless, the demand for a faithful adaptation remains incredibly strong, and many fans continue to hope that Ken Kaneki’s story will eventually receive the adaptation it deserves. 💬 QUESTION FOR ANIME FANS: Would you want Studio MAPPA to completely remake Tokyo Ghoul from the beginning, adapting the entire manga without skipping important events? And if a reboot ever happens, would you prefer MAPPA, Ufotable, Madhouse or Studio Pierrot to handle it? Let us know your thoughts! 👀🔥 #tokyoghoul #mappa #kaneki #animenews #anime
