A classic Italian meal featuring spaghetti coated in a bright, flavorful homemade tomato sauce, served with a fresh green salad. Ingredients: - 200g spaghetti - 4 ripe tomatoes - 2 cloves garlic - 1 tbsp olive oil - 1/2 tsp salt - 1/4 tsp black pepper - 1 tsp sugar (optional) - Fresh basil leaves (a few) - For the salad: - 2 cups mixed greens - 1/2 cucumber, sliced - 1 tbsp olive oil - 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar - Salt and pepper to taste Instructions: 1. Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. 2. While the pasta cooks, prepare the tomato sauce: chop the tomatoes, mince the garlic. 3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute. 4. Add chopped tomatoes, salt, pepper, and sugar if using. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened. 5. Add fresh basil leaves to the sauce just before removing from heat. 6. Toss cooked spaghetti with the tomato sauce. 7. For the salad: In a bowl, combine mixed greens and sliced cucumber. 8. Dress with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. 9. Serve the spaghetti hot with the fresh green salad on the side. #Recipe #cooking #foodtiktok #homemade #EasyRecipes #DinnerIdeas #mealprep Save this for later!

18 years old. Taken to the shelter because “he is old”. You will see him clinging right to his dads legs at the intake line. I happened to be at the shelter helping the final of our pulls get loaded up. I saw this old dog being pulled to the front door and My feet were moving before I could think what I was going to say.I started pleading with this owner to not make him come through the shelter just let us help him without the stress . He didn’t want our help initially. He walked to the counter. I looked at the animal control team member and mouthed “he is leaving with me.” She knew not a chance I was allowing this dog who gave 18 years loving to end his life sick and on the shelter floor confused. I watched them process him. I listened to the exchange…”how old is he” “well he’s been with me since 2005.” My heart shattering watching this sweet old dog Trying to get closer like he knew. I knew I would not let this be the way his life ends. I Stepped to the kennels to see who else we can help. When we came back he was standing there. Confused . Where did they go? Are they coming back? No buddy. They left…but you are not going to a cold kennel floor hurting. You are going with us. I walked him out to my car with my friend and lifted him in. I knew he needed medical attention regardless of prognosis . No dog deserves to suffer or hurt. I took him to our ER partner for pain meds over night. I don’t want tonight to be his body aching. I don’t want him to be anxious and upset his dad did walk away. The masses on him needs major medical attention but it’s unlikely with his age surgery would be safe. The truth is he is likely still at the end but I knew it couldn’t be at the shelter. Seymour is now at the hospital admitted for pain meds. We will discuss with our vet team if there’s any way to help him be comfortable longer or if the kindest thing for him is to pass. If it is time it will be the way it should be. Surrounded by love and with his paw held. Not confused at the shelter. Im thankful our rescue gets to love you seymour. #foster #rescue #fosteringsaveslives #seniordog #loveyou #pittie #shelterdog #nooneleftbehind
