@oaks.counseling.ce: People sometimes ask me if I believe in heroes. I do. I’ve met them in this very room. They don’t arrive wearing capes. They arrive carrying grief, fear, shame, heartbreak, and stories they’ve sometimes never told another soul. And despite their fear, they find the courage to look inward. To question what they’ve always believed. To confront what hurts. To discover parts of themselves they thought they’d lost. I’ve watched people fall apart, find their footing, and begin again. And I’ve learned that courage isn’t always loud or extraordinary. Sometimes, it’s simply walking through a door and saying, “I think I need help.” This little room has held more courage than most people will ever know. And I’m grateful and honored to have witnessed it. A place to land.
