@djmaxojrnke5: Alabama Father Follows Unexpected GPS Route and Rescues 14 People From Burning Georgia Home A wrong turn guided by a GPS system led one Alabama father to a burning house in Georgia, where his quick actions helped save 14 people from a potentially deadly fire. On October 17, 2026, 37-year-old Casey Sparks was driving home to Alabama with his 13-year-old son after attending a softball event in Georgia. During the journey, his GPS repeatedly directed him onto a road he did not recognize. Sparks tried changing the route several times, but the navigation system continued sending him in the same direction. Eventually, he decided to follow the instructions. As they approached Lyerly, Georgia, Sparks noticed an unusual orange glow in the distance. When he realized a house was on fire, he immediately pulled over and told his son to call 911. Sparks then rushed toward the burning home. Inside, James Burke had fallen asleep in his recliner while his family members were nearby. Sparks entered the house, shouting for everyone to get out. He helped carry a young girl who was in a hospital bed outside and handed her to someone waiting to help. Rather than leaving once she was safe, he went back into the burning building to assist the remaining occupants. James Burke, his wife Larita, their 11 adopted children and one grandchild all managed to escape. In total, 14 people made it out alive. Although the house was destroyed by the fire, everyone reportedly survived without physical injuries. The encounter also developed into an unexpected friendship. Sparks later shared that he and the family have stayed in contact, with the children greeting him during video calls. What began as a frustrating GPS detour became a life-changing moment for an entire family. Sparks had no connection to the people inside the house, but when he saw they were in danger, he chose to act. His actions helped turn an ordinary drive home into a rescue that 14 people and their loved ones will never forget. #rescue , #heroic , #father , #alabama , #firefighter
