@wmccmc: This is what you call poetic justice. Pete Hegseth removed Vice Admiral Nancy Lacore from her position as Chief of the Navy Reserve after 35 years of military service. Instead of ending her career in public service, that decision helped set her on a completely different path. Now Nancy Lacore has won a seat in Congress, flipping a Republican-held district in South Carolina. And here's the delicious part: she could soon have a vote on whether the very man who fired her should be impeached. Hegseth may have thought he was ending her influence when he pushed her out of the Navy. Instead, he helped create one of his most direct political opponents in Washington. Sometimes the consequences of a political decision come back in ways nobody expected. Lacore has gone from being removed by Hegseth to becoming a member of the institution that can hold him accountable. You really couldn't write a more ironic political story.
