@patagonia: The US Senate will vote Monday, November 9, on whether to advance the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act, a bill that weakens bedrock environmental laws and makes it harder for Tribes and the public to challenge harmful extractive projects. The bill includes permitting provisions that could expand drilling, mining, logging and data-center development on public lands, even when these projects threaten wildlife, clean water, and communities. To be clear: We support permitting reform that helps build renewable energy faster, but not at the expense of public lands, Tribal sovereignty or community protections. Join our partners and take action to oppose the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act. Link in bio.
