As a child playing this felt heroic, now as an adult it kinda feels like child abuse 😭

to be fair, he was only expected to get to goron city and zora's domain. The gorons and zora were supposed to just give him the magic gem thingies. Much more reasonable quest for a 10 year old.

bros literally 4 apples tall and she's like "BY THE WAY I need you to go to this actively erupting volcano that is currently closed off because of how dangerous it is and get another spiritual stone from some chill guys that eat rocks and dance day. don't die"

To be fair, her hands are tied. The king doesn’t believe Zelda and she has to stay to protect her so this child with a special rock is their only option

its kind of the whole point. he was asked to do something impossible for a child and he did it anyway. he sacrificed his whole childhood to save the world because he was the chosen hero and it was expected of him. and ultimately he has to give up everything again to start over. this link has a really tragic storyline.

Nick Prince :
I guess it makes a little more sense with Zelda's prophecy and that she probably thinks he's a kokiri, like this child could be 200 years old for all she knows

Zelda is the one that told him to go on the adventure. Impa just said “sorry I can’t do it for you, I have to stay to protect Zelda”
