@shivam.sharma85: 3 AM, and The Doubt is whispering "what if" in Arthur's ear: the email, the meeting, the noise in the car. In LaFreniere & Newman's 2020 study "Exposing Worry's Deceit" (Behavior Therapy), 29 people with generalized anxiety disorder wrote down their worries when prompted for 10 days, reviewed them each night, and tracked for 30 days whether each one came true. About 91% (91.4%) of the worry predictions did not come true; for the most common participant, none did; and people who saw more of their worries fail to come true had bigger drops in anxiety symptoms. Caveats: it was a small study of people with an anxiety disorder, so the exact number won't apply to everyone, and it's not medical advice. If worry is taking over, talk to a professional. #psychology #shorts #anxiety #overthinking Music: "Twisting" by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com), CC BY 4.0
