I had a GREAT birth and absolutely did not feel well enough to walk even to the car. I just would hate for you to get one block in and realize how much birth impacts every part of your body 😭

Don’t let people scare you, I’ve had 4 kids and all of them I was able to walk after had no tears or anything it’s definitely a little slower but not impossible xx

It’s not always about the pain after you give birth that might make it so you can’t walk home, but it’s the fact that your body just went through something so traumatic and needs to heal! I’m telling you, even if you think you feel great you’ll start to feel it pretty quickly.

3 blocks is do-able. I felt amazing after birth. Was up walking around and out going for walks the second we got home from the hospital. Everyone is different. Just listen to your body.

That much walking that soon postpartum will make your bleeding extremely heavy. So maybe triple up on the diaper walking home to avoid a huge mess. Even if you don’t plan to wear a diaper I would for the walk just to be on the safe side.

My second birth was so easy and I def coulda walked 3 blocks but my first was traumatic and I definitely would not have been able to walk without pain.
