Besides cutting classes that faculty were specifically told would continue and classes that met the number of students enrolled for them to continue, the administration and board of trustees unjustly fired many of our professors, tenured ones included. They were able to do so because over the weekend they wrote a new handbook that gave them the ability to fire the teachers in the following days. Decisions were supposed to be made as a collaborative effort with the faculty, and instead they pulled the rug from under everyone’s feet and made choices one month earlier than they were supposed to and without any input from anyone. Students with disabilities are not receiving their accommodations, housing is unsafe as their are mold, mice, and bug problems in the dorms, they’re forcing AI education into the curriculum, and the board of trustees as well as our administration are biased and do not put the students first in any regard although that’s why they say they do. They lie and hide things from us and faculty and we find out once it’s too late, we’re tired of it all.
