Genuinely fantastic movie...BUT...this movie is not going to age as well as Minus One. For one, this movie was definitely more of a Ghidorah movie. Like despite how peak this scene is, this scene takes up about 90% of Godzilla's screentime. And before anyone says anything, no that is nowhere near the norm out of the 38 movies. Godzilla's presence is definitely felt throughout Minus Zero, but it's still definitely a unique approach to have him be absent for 90% of the movie. Not bad, just not what most people expected. And Ghidorah (to preface, this depiction is easily top 3), is KINDA derivative. Like Design-wise he's an altered design from a ride that itself is an altered design of Monsterverse Ghidorah. He's basically a variant of a variant. And as AMAZING as this depiction is, most people are going to remember Monsterverse Ghidorah in the long run, if only because he was the first "wyvern-Ghidorah" and has more personality. And to segue to his characterization, Minus Ghidorah being an allegory for the US during this period is PERFECTION, but his own objective/abilities/and even evolution is also KINDA derivative. NOT BAD MIND YOU. Minus Ghidorah is pretty much 1:1 with Orga. And I completely understand that this film, like Minus One, is focusing on the human narrative while using the Kaijus as vehicles to support THEIR story. And this movie (like Minus One) accomplishes that with flying colors.

Honestly I think it would’ve been a smart marketing move to have the film called Ghidora Minus Zero, and show absolutely nothing of Godzilla. Then just have had some changes with the writing so that the reason they use the resonant wave amplifier was to bring in Ghidora to their trap, but instead, it unintentionally re-awakened and summoned Godzilla. Could also explain why Godzilla turned into a more anti-hero, because he now thinks of humans (or at least Noriko) as another one of his species.
