1. People with connecting flights do not have to get off first; you still have to wait for any checked bags to be moved over. Your connecting flight knows you just arrived, and it will take time for your checked luggage to be transferred.

i was literal in the SAME situation at DFW last sunday and there were 20-30 ppl that needed to get off the plane and even the flight attendants said we have a lot of people that need to make connections and a couple who literally said “we’re home” blocked at least 7-8 of us. I just turned 40 and i’ve never ran so fast to my next gate. i thought i was going to DEYE. I was the last person on the plane. I don’t understand why people are so insolent
