@reuters: President Trump named longtime aide Stephen Miller as his chief of staff November 6, giving the architect of some of his toughest domestic policies one of the most powerful jobs in Washington after Republicans lost control of Congress. Bo Erickson explains.   #Trump #SusieWiles #StephenMiller #chiefofstaff

It's a big mistake for a pressure group to make itself the decision-making body if it's in fact incapable of making good decisions...

Miller is both evil and incompetent. The white house is already a mess, it will become a disaster.

MOYALE CONFLICT: ETHIOPIA'S FEDERAL BOUNDARIES MUST BE RESPECTED The ongoing conflict in Moyale raises serious concerns about what appears to be a struggle for territorial control, not only of Moyale but potentially of the wider Dawa region of Ethiopia's Somali Regional State. Ethiopia is a federal republic comprising constitutionally recognised regional states, each with defined administrative jurisdictions. The federal arrangement is founded on mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and the constitutional rights of its constituent regions. No regional administration should seek to extend its territorial control into another through intimidation, military force or unilateral action. Any territorial or administrative disputes (if any) must be resolved through constitutional mechanisms, dialogue and peaceful negotiation. The pursuit of territorial expansion by the Oromia administration into the Somali Region, with the tacit approval or acquiescence of the federal authorities, is particularly troubling. The attempt to portray the Oromia administration's violence and territorial violations in the Somali Region as the work of unidentified extremist groups, foreign elements and neighbouring countries, without presenting a shred of credible evidence, is unacceptable. Such allegations cannot substitute for a transparent and independent investigation. The Federal Government of Ethiopia has a constitutional responsibility to safeguard the integrity of its regional states, protect civilian populations and ensure that no region exercises undue dominance over another. Ethiopia's unity cannot be sustained through regional hegemony, territorial expansion or the domination of one community by another. It must rest on justice, equality, mutual respect and faithful adherence to the federal constitution. The people of Moyale and the wider Dawa region deserve peace, security and the assurance that their constitutional rights and administrative boundaries will be respected. The fighting must stop, and that responsibility lies with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. Civilian lives must be protected. Constitutional order must prevail. Peaceful coexistence, not territorial domination, must define Ethiopia's federal future.
