big fan of static shots (well because that's all I can really do with a tripod haha). here's some recent shots taken with my OM SYSTEM OM-5 Mark II from my partner @OM SYSTEM I've been creating alone for 4+ years now. me and my tripod have a complicated relationship for sure. but I promise it gets easier. It is intimidating to create by yourself. I used to hate it so much hahah. and now I find it's how I get my best work, look the most natural on camera, and continue to push myself creatively. and I love static frames and creating movement in other ways. It feels intentional. here are some tips when filming static frames using the OM-5 Mark II at 24fps and C4K 1. create movement across the frame by entering and exiting the frame 2. slow it down or speed it up! A change in speed always feels so cinematic to me. I typically shoot at 120 fps for this. 3. get a lens that can do it all. can you believe this is all shot using one compact lens? It's the M. Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm f/4 PRO Lens and I am continuously amazed by the range of this thing. 4. using leading lines to direct the viewers eye to the action happening in the scene 5. make sure you have a sturdy tripod and add weight so that it reduces shake and also prevents your camera from falling over (ask me how I learned this..😭) What is your experience with solo filming?
