@kontextmediaafricatv: Part 1: What the document argues. A 135-page paper co-written by Gen. Salim Saleh proposes a power-sharing "Consociational Democracy Agreement" for Uganda. What does it propose, what does it leave out, and can talks work while key leaders are detained or abroad? #Uganda #Museveni #BobiWine
they are simply trying to negotiate themselves into power now that they have lost it from it's roots

Imagine a lion calling you to share a meal with it? Yes you will, enjoy the meal for sometime but eventually you will become the meal as well, Uganda's problems stem from the presidency having power beyond measure.

How can the proposal of power sharing be drafted by only two people?. If the proposal is in good faith then every region must be given the right to give its own views.

Tom :
What is power sharing? All Ugandans must share power through legitimate and transparent elections. Nothing else.

At best I just want a federal system and at worse I want Uganda to break into parts, become independent nations, and self govern.

we don't need any dialogue over power sharing.
our constitution is very precise. the rule of law, human rights and democratic practices.
let Saleh arrest byakyama for vote rigging. Muhoozi for the violation of the fundamental human rights and museveni for the family rule.

But this very government pioneered sectarianism, carde politics and patronage and further went ahead to merge the NRM party with the state of Uganda.

Nobody should be tempted to trust a Museveni system lead proposition.
It might even be a trap to destroy whatever has pushed them to the table.

Did they ask us what we wanted? We want a federal system. We want to manage our own resources. The central government is working for certain regions yet every region has resources. We can all manage our resources and contribute towards the central government systems
