I did a ton of welding on a old merc cab, Floors, all the back etc, Beautiful job, painted Beautiful. Cab down, drove it out and a little bit of old metal went thru the Rad while in the lane on MOT. I should have blown the engine down 🙈

Spare tupperware tubs for bolts on jobs is a massively underrated bit of kit. Learned that lesson after loosing some of those cursed long m6 bolts for a thermostat housing on a cummins 4 banger

My first clutch i did scania 113 done it drove it off the pit out the workshop up the road into the trailer park down to the jet wash pressed the brake my foot slipped off the pedal panicked smashed it into a rsj 🤦♂️🤣 that was 1998 always stuck with me

Great story. I remember putting a water pump in a newholland tm 140 probably early on too and a bolt fell in round the fan cowol and I forgot it. Started the tractor and by the time I heard the rattle and stopped same thing...a nice little hole.. covered work and cost myself as it was one of the first jobs on my own at night. Live and learn

I'm the same way if I make a fuck up if I can fix it I will if I can't ill always ask to take it out of my wages to pay for it and it has happened me my biggest fuck up was when I turned to early and I caught the front of a tanker trailer with a chearu after I washed it I pulled the whole front end off was probably near a thousand euro fuck up and first thing I said to my boss was take it out of my wages it's my fuck up let me pay it and the company said no we can't do that it's a mistake and it happens but I still wanted to pay for it
