they could’ve at least walked her into the other hospital.

My 70yr old mom on oxygen dumped on the sidewalk in freezing weather too! She asked for a blanket, they said no! LEGACY. Me, when I wasn't stable and suffering and hadn't eaten in 4 days, being discharged with no plan, I asked for a second opinion and was met with security, and was abandoned! Also LEGACY

Not TRUE!!! I work security at a hospital too and these people check into ER to get a bed for a bit and refuse to leave after discharge. We escort them Off property once discharged we not a hospital anymore we become private property

They did this to my mom too! It was Saint rose San Martin campus, they dumped her on the front and door her wheelchair. She had a stroke and couldn’t even walk so she was left paralyzed on the floor

as someone who worked in a hospital, there’s definitely more behind this. We get a lot of people who don’t want to leave (even when they are capable of doing so) and we desperately need beds for patients who DO still need treatment. It’s very sad to see, but hospitals can’t provide indefinite stays for unhoused patients
