I was told I was allergic to gluten, dairy, food colouring etc for most of my childhood and adolescence. Found out that wasn’t true at about 18 too. THEN ANOTHET 20 YEARS LATER I discovered I might’ve been ADHD and instead of medication my parent tried treating it with diet instead. I wish parents would just tell you things 😑

Not quite as bad, but my stepsons mom tried tell the childrens aid society that he was allergic to milk, just so she didn't have to buy it! To this day I can't figure out why she lied about it either, did she not think they would ask his dad, or his doctor?

It’s crazy this has happened to so many ppl my mother was the same way with reg food items bread , pasta sauce n the list goes on as well as cats now that I live with my man with my THREE cats I have no allergy problems and I’m fine

The ER ain’t going to diagnose any actual allergies and will just treat the anaphylaxis itself and tell the parents to take the child to see an allergist for proper diagnosis 😑

worst kind of parents and in all honesty i would just make an announcement to all the extended family. So i have just found out i can actually have milk and chocolate with no issues so if you have recommendations on ones i may enjoy i would love to know. don't make any claims and just watch the parents, they will either try and gaslight or they will start with the denials and the lies and it will be very entertaining
