BLW / Toddler Dinner - Mini Cottage Pies ❤️ A great little batch cook to make for kids, cooking them in a large silicone muffin tray makes them perfect portion sizes for little ones and the leftovers can be frozen and pulled out when needed. 🖤 I made this batch to go straight in the freezer for easy midweek dinners so didn’t put them in the oven once assembled. Instead I’ll defrost when needed and reheat in the microwave. 🧀 top with cheese before putting in the oven if you are cooking fresh! 250g beef mince 1 TSP lazy garlic 1 red onion, diced 1 large carrot, chopped 2 celery sticks, chopped 1 can of finely chopped tomatoes (400g) 150ml beef stock 1 TBSP dried thyme 1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce Cracked black pepper 3 baking potatoes, peeled and chopped 1.Pop your potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water and boil until soft, drain and mash adding a little milk/butter if preferred 2.Brown your mince and garlic in a large frying pan for 5-6 minutes before adding your chopped vegetables. Return to the heat and fry for another 5 minutes 3.Add the remaining ingredients and cook on a low heat for 20 minutes until vegetables are soft and sauce has thickened 4.Assemble your pies into your muffin tin or alternatively one large ovenproof dish before cooking/freezing. A silicone tray like this works best for these. Once frozen they easily pop out. 👶🏼 suitable from 6 months + ❄️ freeze for up to 3 months #babyledweaning #batchcooking #kidsfood #slowcookermeals #slowcooker
