@unshkn.gospel: WHY DID GOD DID NOT ALLOW DAVID TO BUILD THE TEMPLE? It is because David was a man of war who had shed much blood. (1 Chronicles 22:18) God appointed his son Solomon, a man of peace, to build it instead. However, there is a deeper theological meaning behind this decision. David was not rejected as a person. God still loved him, maintained His covenant with him, and allowed him to prepare extensively for the Temple. Consider what David did: Collected gold, silver, bronze, and iron. Prepared stones and construction materials. Organized the Levites. Prepared the plans for the Temple. Encouraged Solomon to complete the work. See 1 Chronicles 22:2-5 and 1 Chronicles 28:11-19. David did not build the Temple, but he contributed significantly to its preparation. (1 Chronicles 28:19) There are three important principles we can draw from this story. 1. God's assignment is not always the same as our personal ambition. 2. God's work is bigger than one individual. 3. God evaluates our obedience, not merely the visible outcome. Sometimes God does not give us the privilege of completing what we dream of doing, but He still gives us the privilege of preparing something that will bless the next generation. That is not necessarily failure. It can be part of God's larger plan. #TrustGod #Obedience #biggerplan
