@totalnewstexas: Possible rooftop shooter Houston Hours long standoff in downtown Houston after reports of a rooftop shooter Saturday morning According to officials at around 2:20 am officers were called to Travis & Milam regarding a possible shooter on the rooftop of the vacant Holiday Inn building. Dozens of officers and Fire Rescue personal responded to the scene. Officers deployed tactical equipment and setup a perimeter around the building. After nearly 4 hours, right when officers were about to leave, a young man came out of the building and surrendered with his hands up. Police say it was determined that the individual was not on top of the building with a gun, instead he was just urban exploring and doing graffiti. Police say the reports were conflicting and they don't believe he was up there to pose a risk to public safety. He was jailed on a misdemeanor charge.
