Released in 2014, the game follows Linda, a high school student who becomes trapped in an abandoned town filled with mysterious supernatural entities. Armed with nothing but her smartphone and camera, Linda must uncover the secrets behind the strange events while attempting to survive. One of the most distinctive aspects of DreadOut is its atmosphere. Unlike many conventional horror games, which rely heavily on loud noises and sudden jumpscares, DreadOut creates fear through isolation, darkness and suspense. Its abandoned buildings, empty corridors and unsettling environments constantly make the player feel vulnerable. The Indonesian setting also introduces elements of local folklore and supernatural mythology, giving the game a unique identity. The gameplay revolves around exploration, puzzle-solving and encounters with hostile spirits. Interestingly, Linda cannot rely on conventional weapons to defend herself. Instead, she must use her smartphone camera to reveal and confront supernatural entities. This mechanic makes encounters particularly tense because players must carefully observe their surroundings while managing the dangers around them. Despite its creative concepts, DreadOut has several weaknesses. Its combat mechanics can occasionally feel repetitive, while certain animations and controls lack polish. Nevertheless, these shortcomings do not completely undermine the experience. The game’s atmosphere and distinctive mechanics help compensate for its technical limitations. Overall, DreadOut is an interesting addition to the survival horror genre. Its combination of Indonesian folklore, atmospheric environments and unconventional gameplay creates an experience that stands apart from more traditional horror titles. Although it has its flaws, DreadOut demonstrates how cultural identity and creative mechanics can make a horror game memorable. ———————————— @𝑀 ~ ꕤ̸̷҉ @venvenus ⦻ @/home/shaun 🇹🇷 @່ @️ @🧘‍♀️ @🏉Aron✝️ @thomas @adamsa ✝️⚽️ @🍍 @🍥 @𑣲𝄞 @Aydin. @Butter chicken @Farhal Faizal @ᯓ𑣲 💌 𝓛𝒂𝒎𑄝𝒔𝒉ii ೀ @karenn @krista @Laurinha 🇵🇹 @LJT @muneissh @Oakley @ʀᴢᴀ @sam @Shiv147 @Siddarth 🏎️ @A⭐️ @Takyuki @Zafi🔛🔝 - @faustx__
