It’s the product of two cities (Hanoi & NYC), there’s two types of stools at each table, and there’s a menu with a ‘usuals’ and ‘creations’ side. The most important pair are the owners, Kevin and Linh, who greet you on the way in and remember your order the next time you come. You can feel Kevin’s New York background and Linh’s Vietnamese background throughout the shop and in their coffee. For them, it’s about the first impression. Their goal is to build something sustainable, not viral, and to achieve that they know to keep their standard high. The result is what I think is the perfect neighborhood coffeeshop to stumble into every weekend. I absolutely loved the salted cream Vietnamese coffee and the PSL (pho spiced latte), and they have the no.2 ranked matcha in New York (always hand whisked).
