@deskdaemon: Three Claude builds I'd clear my weekend for. One flips letters, one tours webcams, one spots meteors. All three started as a fun idea, not a business plan. 👇 READ BELOW What it is: These are three projects people made with Claude Code, which builds software from instructions you type: a browser airport departure board that flips its letters, an Android TV webcam app called Lukarne, and a meteor-spotting camera system called OpenSkyCam. I haven't run any of them yet, so this is a look at what each one does. How to use it: 1. Start with the flip board: it runs in your browser, pulls real departures from 48 airports, and it's free with no sign-up. 2. For Lukarne on Android TV, spin the globe with your remote and pick a spot for nine live camera feeds, with no account and no ads. 3. Lukarne is sideloaded, meaning installed outside the Google Play Store, so get it only from the official project page and read the permissions first. 4. For OpenSkyCam, gather an IP camera, a Raspberry Pi or another Linux computer, and a Cloudflare account. Why it matters: You get to see what people actually build with Claude Code when they follow a fun idea, and it might spark a project of your own. Honestly, I'd put that flip board on a spare monitor just to feel like I'm about to go on vacation. Why not: Lukarne means installing outside the Play Store and OpenSkyCam is a real hands-on setup, so skip those if you don't want that, and remember the 17 meteors in one night is the creator's claim, not something I've seen. Save this for a free weekend when you need a build idea. Follow for more.
