“Just a few days ago, after training, Nico came into my office while I was getting ready to leave. He said, ‘Boss, I’m really happy.’ I asked him, ‘Why? What’s happened?’ He told me his agent had informed him that Real Madrid were considering activating his buy-back clause in 2027 and bringing him back to the Bernabéu. I smiled and said, ‘Really? And that’s what’s making you so happy?’ Then I told him, ‘Nico, remember what happened the last time you were there. You weren’t getting regular minutes; you were sent out on loan, and you never really got the opportunity to establish yourself in the first team. ‘Now that you’re doing well and attracting attention, suddenly they want you back. You have to think carefully about that. ‘I understand how exciting it can be when a big club shows interest in you, especially one like Real Madrid. But you’re at a very important stage of your career, and the decision you make now could shape your future. ‘I genuinely believe you have the potential to become one of the best players in the world. With the right environment, the right guidance and regular playing time, you can go a very long way. ‘Of course, you can’t stay at Como forever. At some point, you’ll have to take the next step and challenge yourself at the highest level. ‘But if you ask me, I wouldn’t advise you to return to Real Madrid right now. You risk finding yourself in the same situation again, sitting on the bench when what you really need is to play and develop. ‘Look at Barcelona, for example. They have a history of trusting young players and giving them opportunities to develop. That’s the kind of environment you should be looking for. ‘Don’t choose a club because of its name. Choose a club where you can play, improve and fulfil your potential.’ He listened quietly, nodded and said, ‘I understand, Gaffer. I’ll speak to my agent. Barcelona could be a good option.’ We both smiled, and that was pretty much how the conversation ended.” #nicopaz #fabregas #fypシ゚viral - @football_footballersnews
