Angie Gibson :
Marilyn Monroe was the same way! She was a genuine fan of Ella's extraordinary talent, and she used her own celebrity influence to help Ella gain access to opportunities that weren't always available to Black performers.

I didn't know, and honestly would have thought the exact opposite of Sinatra.

Now what does get lost in the racial conversations that we're having today is that half the white people in America fought hard for people of colour to have the same rights as themselves Not everyone is racist because they're white it's only a few rotten apples in the orchard of humans

Wow. How great. Terrible situation to start with, but kudos to Frank Sinatra. I’ll think of him differently from now on. Thank goodness we got past racist crap like this, although we’re not done.

Those were all rock stars of the day. Love me some Frank Sinatra and Frank Sinatra stories. No, I did not know about this story, but it doesn’t surprise me one bit. Thank you so much for sharing. Great video.

Am I the only one that missed the part where they actually went to the beach? because this was the point. Ali wanted to go to the beach. Wha5 happened to the beach? Now I question if this story is historical fiction or fact!

To me this is crazy. I can’t imagine this, I am glad Frank Sinatra stood up. I knew him and Sammy Davis Jr were close too. My parents told me stories of how they were discriminated against. 💔
